AbilityScore®, validated: the preprints are live

A standard the field can share has to be proven, not asserted. The Alliance's anchor measure is now independently validated against the instruments clinicians already trust — and the preprints are public.

A shared standard is only worth adopting if it is rigorous. AbilityScore® — the 0–1000 developmental measure built by the Alliance's Anchor — has now been validated by an independent contract research organisation against the established instruments in developmental assessment: Vineland-3, CARS-2, Bayley-4 and ABAS-3.

What the validation found

The study reports convergent validity of r = 0.91 against those comparators, test–retest reliability of ICC = 0.88, and forecast accuracy of 1 − MAPE = 0.93, on a sample of n = 300 with an n = 60 test–retest cohort, under Protocol BHCL-VAL-2026-001 with the independent CRO Manentia Research. The underlying methodology spans 25 assessments, 339 skills and 148 abilities.

Open and citable

Both the methodology and the validation protocol are published as openly licensed preprints with DOIs, so any institution, regulator or researcher can read and cite them:

This is the kind of Indian-authored, openly published evidence the Research Council exists to steward — and the reason the Alliance can offer a standard the field is able to trust rather than simply asked to accept.

Published by the IRWFA Secretariat. Operational figures are forward-facing as of May 2026; patent references are to international (PCT) applications, not granted patents; “largest / first” is stated to our knowledge as of May 2026. IRWFA complements the Rehabilitation Council of India and does not supplant it; statutory recognitions are in process.
