Not a regulator; relationship with the RCI

IRWFA complements the Rehabilitation Council of India and does not supplant it. The Alliance claims no statutory authority reserved to the RCI or any regulator; it aligns with the RCI’s mandate and seeks recognition and partnership, and its applications for recognition are in process. Membership, designations and standards described on this site are those of the Alliance and do not constitute a statutory qualification, licence or registration.

On the “licensed standard”

References to a "licensed standard" describe a developmental measure (AbilityScore®) running on the PinnacleAI GPT-OS™ platform, which is classified by the CDSCO as a Class B medical device and licensed for manufacture under the Medical Devices Rules, 2017. That licence is held by Bharath Healthcare Laboratories for the GPT-OS™ software. It is the technological foundation the Alliance is anchored on; it does not make IRWFA a regulator.
